Language Arts

A book study of the novel, Wonder, by R.J. Palacio. This book is on the recommended reading list for rising 6th graders. Kids will read, discuss, and write about the book, while creatively using technology to illustrate what they’re learning along the way. Themes of empathy, compassion, and acceptance will be explored, just in time for middle school!

Kids attend three 45 minute Virtual Classroom sessions a week with a teacher. Assignments will be continued independently or with peers throughout the week.

  • Option 1: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9AM.
  • Option 2: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1PM.
  • Option 3: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7PM.

Math

Start 6th grade math by working on a project by Mathalicious that brings middle school math skills to the real world.
